He has his strong points and weaknesses too just like every other human. The basic problem with him was that he used to be a federal prosecutor before he became a politician and forgot to drop his prosecutor's garb.
The way as I see it, America must be prepared for a President Rudy because for now, he seems to be the only Republican candiadte who could win.
