I think the stacking was intentional. I would have enjoyed seeing Bart Ehrman and Dale Allison in there as well.On the other hand, I am finding the responses that the confessional scholars make to each other interesting as well. All their arguments seems to be variations on (1) the gospels are the best sources we have, (2) the gospels support the tradition orthodox view of Jesus, (3) therefore the orthodox view is the best that historians can do. Each of them spins the argument differently though.

I think reality lies between he left nothing for those who wanted to grew up in order to maintain peace. But bush's practices were right to some extent in order to create a locality free from terror. But he went beyond the limitation of humanity barriers.

In this day and age where almost everyone is so busy with work or other unavoidable engagements, attending a funeral or a wake can be quiet difficult. the publisher-imposed form for the endnotes which are unnumbered but relate to phrases on pages often makes it difficult to identify Dallek's sources. And scholars might not approve of his use of Henry when referring to Kissinger but Nixon not Dick when referring to the president. But those are minor quibbles that detract little from Dallek's major contribution to the study of the Nixon presidency............

Controversy continues to swirl regarding the role of Fannie and Freddie in the subprime crisis. My thesis has been that most of those blaming Fannie and Freddie for the crisis (as a major causative element) do so for political reasons (or worse). A sub-thesis has always been that the conservative effort to blame Fannie and Freddie ultimately indicts the Bush Administration.

Although I’m sure they didn’t expect quite the amount of negative feedback they have gotten, I think it’s better they got it now. It affords them the opportunity to address the concerns. Hopefully, they can do so in a way that keeps them viable and competitive.
